Can't wait until Thursday
Thursday can't get here soon enough. I am so ready to get this journey going. It has a little more than a month since diagnosis. Might be the longest month in history. The waiting is hard. Waiting to see this dr, waiting for that result, waiting to start treatment. WOW. My days are busy tending to the girls. I sometimes just try to let my mind forget what is going on, but then a thought will hit me. When I become scared and fearful..........I battle that fear with this : "trust, trust in the Lord, lean not on your own understanding". I think there is a song with this verse as the title.
Here's a list of prayer request:
1. Pray specifically for this chemo and radiation to kill all of the cancer cells.
2. Pray for my physical strength to endure the treatment.
3. Pray that my family has a easy transition through all this, that it is much more adaptable than we imagined.
4. Pray that God continues to fill me with peace and comfort and the devil stays far away from my thoughts.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS THROUGH THIS ALL. CANCER WILL NOT WIN.

Lisa,
Although, I have only met you a few times, you are the most courageous person I have ever encountered. I am so glad my friend Ray has you in his life he deserves the best and that is exactly what you are. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Keep your positive attitude.

Hi Lisa,
I read your words and I'm always taken aback at how strong and brave you are. I think we all question whether we would have it in ourselves to be so determined. You are and always have been an inspiration to me. Your kind heart and spiritual soul have always been something I looked up to. Cancer is certainly something that will test you and make your life more difficult but it will never break you or bring you down. You are a determined wife and mother and there isn't much that can stand in your way!
Love you-
Tanya

Hi Lisa,
I feel as though I already know you and your husband. I see your daughters pictures on Joann's desk everyday. I work with her at ACS in Uniontown. I pray for you daily, and I also have added your name to our church prayer list. When I was 24 years old, I was diagnosed with Leukemia. My prognosis was not good. I will be 45 years old on July 12th. God is good, and He will be with you every step of the way. Remember "His strength is perfect when our strength is gone" I will continue to pray for you.

Lisa and Ray-
Today I rejoice that you have each other. What an experience to go through together. Undoubtedly, it will make your love for each other only grow stronger as your faith also becomes even more clearly the stronghold of your lives. My heart aches and hurts for you, and yet I know that with our good Lord in charge, we too can give our cares to Him. I thank God for you, Lisa. I thank Him for being with you these last weeks. I thank God for you and Ray...for your love for each other and I pray for you both to have boundless strength and hope and continue to have courageous prayers.
Love and Hope-
Lindsay

Lisa, this has helped me thru ...
A Prayer
Refuse to fall down.
If you cannot refuse to fall down,
refuse to stay down.
If you cannot refuse to stay down,
lift your heart toward heaven,
and like a hungry beggar,
ask that it be filled,
and it will be filled.
You may be pusheed down.
You may be kept from rising.
But no one can keep you
from lifting your heart
toward heaven---
only you.
It is in the middle of misery
that so much becomes clear.
The one who says nothing good
came of this,
is not yet listening.
